Big Desert wilderness The diversity and complexity of the landscape is the essence of its attraction. The intricate pattern of high, steep - sided sand ridges, valleys and varied vegetation defies quick familiarity. There is a sense of timelessness, enhanced by the knowledge that little activity has ever been undertaken by Europeans.
Wathe Reserve A very unspoilt and delightful place to visit. However, entry is only by contracting the local DNRE Office.
Lake Albacutya The dominant feature of this park is the lake, which fills from Lake Hindmarsh when the Wimmera River is in flood. This happens about once in every 20 years or so.
